Currently, diagnosed neurodivergents compose one third of the US population. According to studies, the population percentages of neurodivergence total 45% cumulatively. However, due to overlap and dual diagnoses in many cases, we can conservatively assume 30% of the population is living with neurodivergent traits. Especially, when we realize that dyslexia alone composes 20%. Furthermore, these statistics are heavy on the pediatric population and do not include all those who have slipped through the cracks living as undiagnosed, “high functioning” adults. After all, neurodivergent children grow up into neurodivergent adults.©
